Welcome to Essex North Supervisory Union!

We're happy to serve students in the communities of Canaan and the Northeast Kingdom School Choice Districts.

Each of our schools encourages the skills and interests of our students, while also giving them a high-quality, 21st century education.

With fewer than 200 students and 50 staff at Canaan Schools and small class sizes in the NEK School Choice Districts, individualization and personalization are at the center of our learning process.

We are fortunate to live in one of the safest, healthy, and unspoiled environments in the country. Our schools are staffed with seasoned educators who have chosen to live and raise their families here, and we enjoy close ties with community members - business leaders, professionals, and tradespeople - who share their knowledge and expertise with students on a regular basis.

We have one of the finest CTE Centers in Vermont, and through exchange programs with nearby schools in New Hampshire, we give students the tools they need to gain entrance into the best colleges and universities in the country, or enter a wide range of careers in the trades, medicine, law enforcement, and agriculture.
