Emergency Relief Fund

The Vermont Agency of Education has required every school district or supervisory union to submit a “Recovery Plan” by June 1. The plan includes templates for a needs assessment and logic models (plans that include goals and strategies for addressing identified needs).

The plan requires that we address needs in 3 areas:

  • Academic Achievement

  • Engagement/Truancy

  • Social-Emotional/Mental Health

In April 2020, we worked on the needs assessment portion of the plan. This work included analyzing data, interpreting data, and making recommendations for addressing identified needs. Click here to view the ENSU Recovery Plan. Click here to view the VT LEA Public ESSER Plan.

FAQs About the ESSER Fund

We are working to engage with the community regarding plans for ARP ESSER III funds. Please read through this webpage for information about ESSER and to find important next steps for providing feedback on ARP ESSER III funds.

What is "Meaningful Consultation"?

We must invite public comment and input into the decision-making process for utilizing ARP ESSER III funds. The US Department of Education requires LEAs to complete Meaningful Consultation and provide evidence public input was incorporated into the plan and the plan must be approved at the state level and then shared with the public.

Please take a moment and respond to this 5-question brief survey to provide comments: Access Survey Here.

Essex North Supervisory Union will develop a plan for the use of this money. The Plan will focus on supporting ENSU as a system as we look for ways to improve the educational experience for all students. ENSU will send out a survey and collect input on our plan and our needs for one month during the summer. The plan will also be shared at a public meeting in the Fall.
