Bells Across America happens every September 17 at 4 PM EDT at the Grace Community Church in Canaan, VT. It is the time and date that the Constitution was completely signed in 1791. In some places it also honors first responders that come when we need them and put their lives on the line for us. In the Northeast Kingdom, the Saint John de Crevecoeur Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, partners with communities to participate in Bells Across America.
I am reaching out to let you know of a Plein Air event that will be taking place at the Canaan Community Forest on Saturday, September 19, from 10-2, rain date will be the 20th. There is much to see throughout the forest or just from the porches made available. People may bring their guitars and create songs, write poetry, bring their fiber art...anything they choose!
We would truly appreciate it if you would share this opportunity with your students and staff members. Refreshments will be made available, to include April's Maple soup/chili, sides, and sweet treats. Of course, you can hike and play disc golf while you are there, as well as participate in some art stations that will be set up which should be fun for all ages! RSVPs will be greatly appreciated for amounts of food needed.

Driver's ed will be starting 9/21 and the class still has a few seats left. I want to advertise once more to see if anyone missed the 1st notice and hasn't signed up yet.
This group offers a supportive space for adoptive and guardianship caregivers to share the challenges and successes they experience while raising youth across developmental stages. Caregivers have the opportunity to connect with others who have shared experiences, gain support, and exchange strategies in a welcoming environment.
Please feel free to share this opportunity widely with families and community partners who may benefit. Contact information for referrals and questions is included on the flyer.

Following a comprehensive search process, the Board is confident that Ms. Sherry’s extensive background, leadership qualities, and deep connection to the region make her the ideal leader to guide our districts forward.
Ms. Sherry brings 25 years of diverse educational experience to the role, having served as a teacher, special educator, administrator, principal, and college professor. Her career has been defined by a steadfast commitment to creating positive learning environments, supporting educators, and ensuring that every single student has the opportunity to succeed.
"We are incredibly excited to welcome Elaine Sherry to the ENSU community," said the Board. "Her student-centered philosophy, belief in collaborative leadership, and dedication to open communication perfectly align with the values of our community and the goals of our schools."

Key Club has partnered with the Thirst project, a nonprofit organization that helps raise funds for countries struggling with the water crisis and are hosting a walk for water event. June 7th at the Canaan Rec Park, we hope to see you there!

Attached, you will find a chart showing what we were able to get accomplished in adult education in this first year. It was a slow start due to my own nonwork "activities", but we really had a lot going on this past semester. Many of you took part in one or more offerings. Thank you.
My name is Kristin McMaster, and I am the co-director and founder of
Camp SkyWild. I'm reaching out to spread the word that we're bringing
Camp SkyWild to New Hampshire for the first time this summer. It's a
week-long overnight camp for neurodivergent kids ages 7-15: kids with
autism, ADHD, anxiety, and related support needs who deserve the same
formative camp experiences as their neurotypical peers. Our program
has run primarily in Michigan since 2013, but this summer we are
piloting an expansion to the northeast, and I'm hopeful to begin
spreading the word to local school districts and youth development
agencies.
We run low staff ratios, structured and predictable schedules,
activities driven by camper choice, and hold intensive staff training
for all of our volunteers to support campers so that they can show up
exactly as they are. Campers can shoot archery and slingshots, go
canoeing, kayaking and swimming, make a tie-dye shirt, climb a rock
wall, make a smore... the full traditional camp experience, just more
flexible and more supported.
