Grades 1-6 had a paper chain challenge during Tuesday morning collaboration. Students were split into groups of 3 working as a team to attempt to create the longest chain. Supplies provided were 3 sheets of paper, scissors, and a glue stick. The winning teams chain was 15 feet long. The winners were Adalynn Marchand, Owen Phillips and Brock Gales. All groups chains were connected together to decorate the MPR for the holidays!
The class of 2028 will have a tag sale on Dec. 13 from 8 am - 12 pm and then open to public 12 pm - 1 pm. Prices are .25 cent on up and we are accepting donations of items that would be sold to benefit the Class of 2028.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, members of the Canaan K-Kids and Builder's Club raised money by selling pins. All proceeds from their sales were donated to Two Rivers Relief for Cancer. The clubs raised $1,919.47 for their donation. Seen here are members presenting their check to Katie Hopps, a representative of the Two Rivers Relief for Cancer foundation.

Come one, Come all to see the Canaan Schools Summer Camp Students performance tonight at 6 pm with Wunderle's Big Top Adventures!!!! Here is a little sneak peak of one of the practices. The kids have learned so much this week around balance, acrobatics, hand eye coordination and so much more. They have been determined, worked hard and are ready to entertain!
Before the show starting at 4 pm the Class of 2028 will have face painting , hot dogs, popcorn, beverages and other goodies for sale outside of the school. Come join in the fun!!!

Please note that the gym at Canaan School will be closed to all basketball players, organizations, and anyone else wanting to use the gym until Friday, Aug. 2nd. We have summer school that will be using it until Thursday night late. Thank you.

Canaan Summer Camp students are coming home with important information about next week's activities, please be sure to check backpacks today. Next week we are excited to have Wunderles Big Top Adventures circus camp with us. The students are going to learn some really cool things!!!! You will find in the packet, a permission slip that needs to be returned by this Thursday in order to participate, a flyer with details about the circus performance that is on Thursday August 1st at 6pm, a note requesting that ALL STUDENTS BRING IN A BIKE HELMET, if you do not have one, one will be provided, an order form that lists items the circus will have available for sale. These are not on sale until Thursday at the show. Ms Keafer is working with the students this week and next on costumes and some creative art projects that will be on display. She sent home letters yesterday. Lastly, the Class of 2028 will also be selling food before and after the show as well as offering face painting. We hope to see lots of family at our event!
