Kids: Enjoy two weeks of storytelling, theatre games, music, movement, clowning skills, stage combat, costumes, props, and art projects, as we prepare a short performance for friends and family. No previous drama experience necessary.
Parents: This critically-acclaimed, highly-kinetic drama and literacy program celebrates students’ individual strengths and creativity while promoting language skills, ensemble-building, conflict resolution, confidence, and mindfulness. It is being made available to students in Canaan and surrounding areas for free, thanks to a Tillotson North Country grant to Canaan Naturally Connected. Instructor Renée Bucciarelli, originally from Colebrook, NH, has enjoyed a decades-long career in professional theatre and in education across North America, including at the Weathervane Theater (NH), Shakespeare on the Sound (CT), and Kings County Shakespeare Co. WHO: Kids ages 8-13. Limit 12 students. 2 Teen interns welcomed to interview for assistant positions.
